RACINE — United Way of Racine County, in collaboration with Microsoft, is hosting an AI Skill-A-Thon this month to help local professionals, students, employees and employers learn basic AI skills.

During the Skill-A-Thon, which began Sept. 1 and ends Sept. 30, participants can earn professional certificates and win cash.

RACINE COUNTY (Aug. 15, 2024) — Today, United Way of Racine County, in collaboration with Microsoft, is launching a new AI Skill-A-Thon, a free skilling competition in September to help local professionals, jobseekers, students and employers learn basic knowledge, skills and competencies in AI to help them in their chosen career path. Participants in the Skill-A-Thon will be able to earn professional certificates to demonstrate their AI knowledge and win cash prizes up to $1,500.

Board Training Program Aims to Help Nonprofits Increase Board Diversity

April 22, 2024 (Racine, WI) — United Way of Racine County has launched United Horizons Board Training Program to help prepare community members to serve on nonprofit boards and help nonprofit organizations build boards that are representative of our community.

The program has two tracks, one for individuals seeking to serve on a nonprofit board and one for representatives of nonprofit organizations. The program will conclude with a “matchmaking” session, where participants will meet representatives of the nonprofit organizations.

Get Your Steps in and Help Community School Students Get to School on Time

Celebrating our Employee Campaign Coordinators

Employee Campaign Coordinators (ECC) are the driving force at the heart of our corporate campaigns. They work in collaboration with our Investor Relations Managers (IR Managers) to run campaigns that generate a significant portion of our funding.

ECCs have three main responsibilities: educating, asking and collecting, and reporting.

They tell their co-workers about the impact United Way of Racine County makes in our community, laying the foundation for why individuals want to give. Resources are provided, and our IR Managers assist with presentations for employees.

United Way partners with Microsoft for new equity-focused technology fund

Nov. 21, 2023 (Racine, WI) — United Way of Racine County is proud to announce a collaboration with Microsoft that will facilitate the creation of a new equity-focused technology fund.

The fund, which will officially launch on Dec. 1, will help local nonprofits address disparities and support under-resourced communities through the use of technology.

President and CEO of United Way of Racine County Ali Haigh expressed excitement over the opportunities this fund will provide.
