Donor Privacy

United Way of Racine County values the trust its donors place in the organization and adheres to the highest standards in gathering, using and safeguarding customer information. This includes all of the donors' personal and gift information. Because of this trust, United Way will not rent, trade, sell or share any information about its donors.

If you choose to give to United Way, your completed pledge form provides us with your name, address, email and pledge information. United Way employees who may access your information in order to perform pledge processing and administrative functions are prohibited from disclosing your information to third parties. Organizations that provide operational or other support services to us must also agree to safeguard your information in strict compliance with our privacy policy.
 
Your relationship with United Way is voluntary and confidential. We use your information to send you acknowledgment of your gift and information we think you may find of interest about United Way. If you do not wish to receive such communications, you may let us know at any time by contacting United Way. In addition, every email you receive from United Way will include instructions on how to unsubscribe.
 
To maintain our commitment to data security, prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect. Firewalls prevent outside parties from accessing our database, and internal United Way access to the database is restricted to authorized individuals.

Release of Likeness

United Way of Racine County may take photographs or videos of participants, individually or in groups, attending or taking part in United Way programs and activities. These images, in original or modified form, may appear in future United Way publications and/or publicity, including print, web and video productions.

Anyone who attends or participates in a United-Way-hosted event or activity authorizes the use and reproduction of any photographs taken during the event, without compensation by United Way. The opportunity or right to inspect or approve any such images or recordings is waived. If an individual does not wish to be photographed or videotaped, the person must notify the United Way staff to that effect.

United Way will provide photo release forms when applicable. Releases shall remain on file as long as the photographs remain in use. Permission for usage is assumed for any photographs submitted to United Way by an individual or organization. All images and files shall constitute United Way property, solely and completely.
