Financial Fitness Network

Making Sense of Money

WHO ARE WE?

The Financial Fitness Network of Racine County is a partnership of more than a dozen organizations that aim to help Racine's community manage finances with greater confidence in order to enjoy the improved quality of life that accompanies financial stability. United Way of Racine County has partnered with United Way of Kenosha County to offer a joined financial fitness network. The network provides bi-annual financial capability workshops for non-profit organizations to provide information and skills to better serve the financial needs of their clients. For more information, or if you'd like to join us, contact Lori Riffer at 262-456-6468.

OUR VISION

All people in Racine County have the knowledge and skill to obtain financial stability.

OUR MISSION

The Financial Fitness Network of Racine County aims to empower individuals and families by providing financial education and a continuum of resources to local non-profit service providers in partnership with United Way of Kenosha County and the FDIC.

Financial Education and Outreach

A core goal of the Financial Fitness Network of Racine County is to develop a comprehensive, year-round cycle of financial education for Racine and Kenosha non-profits in partnership with the FDIC.

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA)

The VITA program provides free tax preparation services to help individuals and families file their taxes and apply for tax credits. This service provides support to tax filers, connects clients with self-sufficiency building resources and also brings more dollars into the local economy. United Ways across the nation have been providing VITA programs for years with great success, and United Way of Racine County recognized the importance of the program to promote financial stability within a community. As a result, United Way of Racine County began incorporating the VITA program in 2017. To learn more about receiving VITA's assistance, please click here.

Volunteer with VITA

VITA needs volunteers for the upcoming tax season. Training to become an IRS-certified tax preparer is free and requires no previous experience. To learn more, contact Lori Riffer at 262-456-6468.
