Get Active in Your Community
Give an hour. Give a Saturday. Give your best. We all have special talents. Things we can do to help. Whether it’s reading to children, leading financial literacy classes for hard-working families, or delivering meals to home bound seniors, there are hundreds of volunteer options available every day.
Finding a volunteer position that is right for you can take time. However, with the help of Volunteer Solutions, you can become involved in projects that are meaningful and fun. Volunteer Solutions is an online application that helps volunteers, nonprofit agencies, corporations and event organizers get connected. Volunteer Solutions hosts a rich database of online service opportunities. As an individual volunteer, you can:
- Use a powerful search engine to locate a geographically targeted opportunity that matches your social interests, skills and time requirements.
- Create multiple volunteer profiles based on these criteria so upon returning to the site you can automatically search the database by your preferences.
- Research the sponsoring agency to find out more about the organization before volunteering.
United Way of Racine County is proud to partner with the Volunteer Center of Racine County to host the jointly branded Volunteer Solutions website. Check it out today! Any small contribution of your time can make a big difference in our community!
