Creating Impact

United Way of Racine County directs resources strategically in order to create the greatest impact. We believe that the most effective way to do this is by focusing on the long-term economic mobility of our community and its residents.

In order to create the greatest change in our community, United Way developed a strategic plan that established goals and measurements to guide our work.

Health

   

Goal

Increase the number of Racine County residents who participate in quality physical and mental health practices.

Strategy

United Way of Racine County is focusing on two key areas in health.

  •  Healthy eating and physical activity
  •  Supporting mental health and healthy choices

Measurement

By 2025, Racine County will see a reduction of at least 20% in unhealthy behaviors and poor mental health days.

Education

  

Goal

85 percent of students graduate high school with the knowledge, skills and motivation to succeed in college, vocational training or career.

Strategy

United Way of Racine County is focusing on four key areas in education.

  • School readiness
  • Early-grade success
  • Middle grade success
  • On-time high school graduation

Measurement

By 2025, 75% of students who graduate will enroll in college, secure employment, or plan to join job training, or the military.

Individuals and families achieve self-sufficiency to support future advancement.

  • Income supports
  • Savings and assets
  • Manageable expenses

Measurement

By 2025, increase number of financially stable Racine County residents by 2,000 individuals.
