EITC Awareness Day

EITC Awareness Day is a nationwide effort to increase awareness about Earned Income Tax Credit and free tax preparation sites.

United Way of Racine County celebrates EITC Day by kicking off VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) for the 2018 tax season. Come enjoy free tax preparation and tax resources.

For this event only, walk-in tax preparation is welcome. To qualify for tax preparation, your annual household income must be $54,000 or less. If married and filing a joint tax return, both spouses must be present to sign.
Please bring the following:

  • Valid photo ID for you and your spouse (if applicable)
  • Social security or ITIN cards and birthdates for every individual on your returns
  • All wage and tax statements, including but not limited to:
    • W-2
    • W-2G
    • 1099-R
    • 1099-G
    • SSA-1099
    • 1099-INT
    • 1099-DIV
  • Any other tax documents
  • Proof of bank routing and account number if using direct deposit
