Special Funding
In addition to the annual investment process, United Way funds and/or manages several special projects and resources. Projects managed by United Way include Imagination Library, Youth As Resources and the Racine County Afterschool website.
Community Investment Committee (CIC) provides leadership and oversees the entire community investment process for programs and projects receiving United Way of Racine County funding. Individual CIC members may also be serving as co-chairs for other United Way committees. They review funding recommendations from investment and advisory investment committees to ensure responsible stewardship and accountability for funds allocated by United Way. CIC also has a pool of funds to administer on an annual basis. These funds are invested primarily in two areas: CIC Community Partner programs and Effective Connections project requests.
