A word from our President, Dave Maurer

In these hard economic times, you may have found yourself among many in our community facing the loss of a job, financial difficulties, home ownership or credit challenges, and need for health and human services. This site is intended to help you address "Now what?" with resources, contacts and links to other sites to access much more detailed information.

The mission of United Way of Racine County is to improve lives. This includes helping people get through hard times. Unemployment, even temporary, is probably one of the most difficult experiences to endure. Losing your job is traumatic, especially when it affects your entire family's income. Knowing where to turn and taking control of your situation can reduce the impact on you and your family.

We continue to focus on the building blocks of a good life by working to improve education, income and health. This site offers suggestions to maintain your quality of life while searching for employment or handling other financial difficulties. For example, contacts are provided to help find low-cost health insurance, prevent a foreclosure, seek credit counseling and health and human services for which you may qualify.
