The Community Investment Committee (CIC) receives annual applications and monitors several programs for which United Way has a role in governance or leadership of that organization or program. These programs must comply with all the same requirements expected of other partner providers' organizations and programs. The following programs currently receive 2009-10 funding from the Effective Connections pool that is administered by CIC:
RAMAC: Leadership Racine
Leadership Racine builds community trusteeship through the development of strong, diverse and knowledgeable leaders, preparing them for positions of public influence and decision making.IMPACT Inc.: Racine 2-1-1
Racine 2-1-1 provides quality 24/7/365 human service information and referral, supportive listening and crisis intervention services to the residents of Racine County.
UWP Center for Community Partnerships: Nonprofit Development Center
The Center for Community Partnerships links the resources and needs of University of Wisconsin-Parkside, UW Extension and their partners to the needs and resources of the nonprofit organizations and public agencies of southeast Wisconsin. The Nonprofit Development Center helps build capacity in local nonprofit organizations.
