United Way's Beacon Circle Leadership Giving Program is designed for those who are willing to demonstrate a commitment to community leadership with gifts of $1,000 or more. This is an easy strategy to implement in any company, regardless of size, and can be an excellent source of new dollars for your campaign. Those who qualify also can get special recognition for their generous gift.

For companies that already have a Beacon Circle Program in place, it may be worthwhile to investigate how long those Leadership Givers have stayed at any given level.
United Way publishes the names of these donors in an annual brochure in recognition of each leadership contribution. Donors have the option to remain anonymous if they prefer.
If your company does not currently engage in a specialized leadership giving solicitation and you are interested in learning more please click here to find out more about encouraging leadership giving in the workplace.
We are beginning efforts to recognize the long-term commitment many donors have made to our community. Please note the question on the pledge forms provided by United Way, "I have given to United Way for ___ years." If your company does not use the United Way pledge forms, please consider adding this question to your own form.
United Way of Racine County has completed a third year in maintaining an endowment and planned giving program. This enables people to give in other ways besides the annual campaign. United Way of Racine County's endowment funds are held by the Racine Community Foundation, as is the Success by 6® Endowment for early childhood development, established in 1998 through the generosity of a challenge grant gift from Sam and Gene Johnson.
If you would like to discuss the United Way of Racine County Endowment, Success by 6® Endowment or planned giving, please call Dave Maurer at (262) 898-2249.
