Event Highlights
United Way Awareness Night
Special thank you to Catholic Central High School and Burlington High School for hosting a United Way Awareness Nights at their October football games. United Way announcements were made over the loud speaker and the cheerleaders tossed LIVE UNITED t-shirts into the crowd.
Spooky City
On October 29, United Way participated in Burlington’s annual Spooky City event. We helped to organize the children’s costume parade, handing out LIVE UNITED balloons and Imagination Library brochures to the preschoolers. At the Plaza Theater, the kids were treated to LIVE UNITED tattoos and 50 lucky kids received a free t-shirt, compliments of United Way. Both events were sponsored by Merrill Lynch and helium for the balloons was provided by Walmart.
